  Great food, clean tidy rooms.
  Not expensive but good value.

  NOT KID/CHILD FRIENDLY!!!
  
  Arrived for our mum's birthday with our babies. Firstly got 'told off' several times for not telling them the babies were coming. Not only were they not eating, but they were staying in their pushchair the whole time so didn't feel we needed to include them in the reservation.
  
  We were also made the feel like it was our fault when our buggy wouldn't fit the through the non/wheelchair access door. When I asked "do you have a side door or double doors?" I was told no. But in further inspection, there was a patio door to the side that they could have used instead of my taking my children out of the buggy, collapsing it, carrying it in and then setting it up again; once again feeling like an inconvenience.
  
  After abruptly being addressed by the older female member of staff when asking whether the crab was fresh and if the daytime menu was running as we didn't fancy anything from the set menu, she then called my father over several times to discuss something about our presence...
  
  We then began to order and with a few baby noises and children's laughter we were told that "people are leaving the restaurant because of you because of the noise your children are making". Now our kids are not noisy, they just make noises that babies and children make yet the older female member of staff then persisted to ask people if they wanted to move and apologise for our noise before the people themselves had even complained! This was at 12pm on a lunchtime - hardly an 'adults only time'!
  
  We have never as a family experienced such poor service and felt like we weren't welcome!
  
  We were a prebooked party of 15 so hardly money you would feel they would want to miss out on!
  
  Needless to say we then went to Middleton Sports Club and experienced the most friendly and accommodating service we have ever experience in a restaurant. Highly recommend MSC but could not stress enough to AVOID THE ELMER!!
  
  We shan't be returning.

  Always friendly. Wonderful food. Very accommodating each time we go. Will offer smaller portions too for my mum in Law who only eats small amounts. Can bring dogs into certain areas. Lovely food.
